Having worn contacts/glasses for 30 years, I had resigned myself to the fact that that would be my lifestyle for the rest of my life. Then I discovered Dr. Caster! After meeting with him, reading his book and literature, I realized that seeing clearly (in my case after the procedure 20/20) without the aid of contacts or glasses could be a reality. Most people are very apprehensive about having anything done to their eyes, and I was no exception. Dr. Caster and his entire staff were so reassuring and understanding about that fear that I felt immediately relaxed and felt confident in my decision to have Lasik surgery. The surgical process and the recovery process were exactly as described-quick and painless. Words are inadequate to thank someone for the gift of perfect vision, but that’s all I can say. Thank you, Dr. Caster! I’ll probably be thanking you everyday of my life as I open my eyes and see!
I had Lasik surgery on both eyes yesterday. I had absolutely no postoperative discomfort. My vision improved from approximately 20/200 to 20/30 this morning of my next day follow up appointment. I am hoping for gradual improvement to 20/20, but this is the first time in 20 years that I could recognize someone before they were a few feet away, without my glasses or contacts. I am extremely pleased. Thanks, Dr. Caster.
Dr. Caster- you are a g-d! A miracle man! I felt like I was blind since the fourth grade. Glasses, contacts- I hated them! The cases, the drops, having to have sunglasses with a prescription, glasses, goggles with prescription, etc., etc. It was the BIGGEST hassle of my entire life. Now, in a matter of hours, my whole life has changed- seriously, I feel a sense of freedom. I really worked!! You and your staff were the nicest staff I’ve ever had. Never have I met such a group of wonderful people, who are truly sincerely, good human beings. Patricia, Dr. Hoff, Veronica, and Cindy were so caring and understanding. Veronica spent so much time with me talking about my fears, what to expect, and life in general. I loved her attention. Dr. Hoff was the best! I can see now and recommend it to everyone. I feel like a pro now. I want to let everyone know that it’s ok to be scared, but everything will be all right. Thanks.
What a wonderful experience (that will last, hopefully, for the rest of my life!). Dr. Caster’s office is clearly one of excellence. I visited four different doctors before selecting Dr. Caster’s office. Everyone on the staff made me comfortable- from carefully explaining each step, answering my questions and even letting me hold Winnie the Pooh to keep me relaxed. I thoroughly researched different doctors, offices and equipment. Dr. Caster’s office maintains the most modern equipment and the highest quality of personnel. Now I’m going to bring my father and brother across the country so that they can wee without their glasses. I have fatal confidence in Dr. Caster and his staff. P.S. It doesn’t hurt (and I’m a wimp when it comes to doctors).
The team at Caster Eye Center have the latest and best equipment and training. This was the largest reason why I chose to have Lasik surgery here. When it comes to your eyes, it does not make sense to cut corners, or to be cheap, Your vision is the most important of your senses, and you deserve toe best. It is with great pleasure that I write this note of thanks. Today, less than 24 hours after my procedure, my vision is 20/25, I will continue to improve. Although I was nervous about Lasik, the entire procedure was painless and quick. The worst part of all: foggy goggles at night and crusty eye lashes in the morning. My deepest gratitude to all of you at the Caster Eye Center for making me comfortable and reassured throughout it all. I will highly recommend you to all!
2/1/01, 21 Hours after Lasik
Dr. Caster and his staff are the BEST! I investigated Lasik for two years prior to deciding to have the procedure, doing research on the many doctors and laser equipment. When I came to Dr. Caster for the evaluation, I knew he was the right choice. Everyone there could not have been more attentive. All my questions and concerns were responded to quickly, fully, and in a straightforward manner, always making sure to lay out the worst case scenario. This morning I read a newspaper at breakfast, without glasses! And it was all painless!! Caster Eye Center is the place to go.
My experience from the beginning was spent surrounded by experienced, professional and a very pleasant staff. After my surgery, I was surprised at how much I could see, but obviously looking forward to waking up the next day and seeing 20/20. And I did! It’s still a bit blurry, but they say it’ll go away. I’m grateful for the opportunity to see without glasses. And can hardly wait until I can open my eyes underwater and take that first look around. Thank you Dr. Caster for giving me the chance to lead a new and wonderful life.
Hurray! After wearing glasses for 30 years I am thrilled to be able to see without them. My experience at the Caster Eye Center has been wonderful. EVERYONE that I have encountered was thoughtful, caring, thorough, sensitive and understanding. The level of care I have received has been above and beyond anything I ever could have expected. Working as a Physical Therapist, I’m always trying to help people get over their injuries or make the most out of what they have. The best feeling I can ever have is to see my patients recover and do well – often times the results are not that dramatic. All I can say is that Dr. Caster must be a very happy man because he helps people in a very dramatic way each day. My apprehension has turned to joy as now I can see perfectly one day after my procedure. (I’ve worn contacts or glasses since I was 12). The staff was great, making me feel comfortable and confident and special the whole way through. My thanks to Dr. Caster and all his staff for this modern miracle and I wish all that have struggled with glasses and contacts to have the experience I had. If you’re a candidate for this procedure, don’t hesitate- you won’t regret it!
One day after my second eye, one week after the first. It’s great to wake up and see without searching for my glasses; or to close my eyes for a short nap without worrying about taking out my contacts. I do a lot of camping and hiking. I’m really looking forward to my first backpacking trip without contacts, solution, glasses, etc. I am also looking forward to swimming in the ocean without worrying about whether I’ll be able to find where I left my towel and glasses!
I have felt great since I had my operation. I can see better than before with contacts. My vision is so clear now, that it is a wonderful feeling! I am glad I had both eyes operated on and I feel 100% satisfied with my decision.
This was a procedure I had considered for five year. I finally decided to do it. My eyesight was off the charts and I was tired of glasses for distance and glasses over my contacts to read anything. I never knew if I should look over or under whatever pair I was wearing. I had distance glasses, reading glasses, contact lenses, sunglasses, prescription sunglasses, sunglasses that fit over my prescription glasses, bifocals and drawers full of contact solutions. I travel a lot and if one of my contacts rips I needed to be sure to have glasses with me. I couldn’t wear lenses on the airplane and it was a hassle to take them out and put them back before and after a flight. I decided to have the surgery and then someone told me a horror story about her husband’s surgery. I was very nervous and almost changed my mind. Dr. Caster answered all of my many questions and we went ahead with the surgery. It was the best thing I could have done for myself. I am now 20/20 in one eye and 20/25 in the other. Since I am 50 years old I need reading glasses, but I am thrilled to be able to live a normal life and swim and drive and do whatever I was without depending on glasses or contacts. I am very happy that I made this choice.
My experiences with Dr. Caster has been nothing short of a minor miracle. After wearing eyeglasses since I was 12 years old, I now have great vision. I went out last night and looked up at the stars. They were clear and sparkling. I’d recommend this procedure and this medical group to anyone.
I first heard about doctor Caster through my co-workers. They had gone down and had the procedure done themselves and the results were astounding. I decided to go down and see whether or not I wanted it myself. After the 2hour exam I was concerned to hear that Lasik was an off label procedure, but since my co-workers didn’t seem to have much trouble I decided to go ahead. The day came for my surgery and as I sat waiting for my turn to come I became nervous. I didn’t know what would happen next. I just told myself that Dr. Caster is very competent that everything would be fine. They tried to explain every step before it happened but not knowing what was next made me nervous. When they did my second eye I was more relaxed because I knew what was going to happen. And now that they are both done I can see 20/20. I’m so happy now that I can see thanks to God and Dr. Caster.
Words cannot describe the freedom and joy I feel from Dr. Caster’s magical work. It is like I am wearing my glasses without actually wearing them. I can see as far as I like and feel so confident as a professional in the reading of music and seeing all the people in front of me clearly.
