You do not have Pathological Myopia. You do not have myopia at all, but rather have astigmatism, which is correctable with laser vision correction.

The treatments are best performed with your eye in its natural state, after the effect of contacts (which push on the eye) have worn off. So it is great to switch out of your contacts prior to the intial consultation.

There is controversy as to which is better, the keratome or IntraLase. In any event, they are very similar. I personally prefer the keratome.

Vision correction will certainly help your vision, particularly at night. If your tension/stress in the forehead is due to straining to see, then vision correction will help that.

Farsighted people can often see distance objects at 20/20, but especiallly if they are over 50, they often willnot see at distance well. With eyeglasses, the best possible vision is around 20/15. People argue over which is the best laser.

Corneas do not progressively thin, so you had the thin corneas a year ago, but this test is not commonly performed and is not important unless you are comtemplating surgery. I would get a second opinion regarding your suitability for laser vision correction.

The Nidek machine produces very good results for that range of nearsightedness and astigmatism. Most enhancements are performed within the first year.

Those parameters are appropriate for lasik. Of course, there are many other factors.
