I would need to see your exact situation in more detail, but in general we recommend against any elective surgery in people who can obtain only 20/40 vision even with glasses.

You should have been told from the start that many patients require enhancement surgeries. It is not uncommon.

At some point, your eyesight will stabilize. That is the best time for the Lasik, becasue the surgery will not stop your eyes from getting worse.

Keratoconus can occur with or without Lasik. The treatment is to wear contact lenses.
