My experience at Caster Eye Associates was fantastic. Everyone there is competant, knowledgable, and above all very friendly. All those characteristics put me at ease in a situation that could make one nervous. Also watching a procedure during my first visit there put me at ease after seeing how quick and painless it seemed.

I was most apprehensive about the possible inability to focus for the first few days after the operation. However after approximately four hours (and a good sleep!) I could see as well as I see after a long hard day wearing only contact lenses (ie. slightly blurred but not greatly disturbed).
Today I see as well as with my contact lenses in (before a long hard day!) I find this remarkable as my left eye was -9.50 (it is now 20/25) my right eye was -8.50 (it is now, 24 hours after procedure, 20/20)
Everyone here was incredibly friendly and I found myself totally at ease throughout. Thank you!

I waited for a full week before writing this. Although the post-operative instructions stated that "it is normal to experience discomfort such as irritation, swelling, light sensitivity, wateriness, and scratchiness for the first few days after the operation," I am delighted to report that none of those things happened to my eyes for the first week. I am very happy with my decision to have eye laser surgery. This is the best gift I have ever given myself!
I commend Dr. Caster and her very friendly staff for making this possible. I am glad I made the right choice of doctor.
To truly express my gratitude to Dr. Caster, I have been telling my relatives, officemates and friends about my wonderful and exciting experience! My story is very simple. I walked into Dr. Caster's office blindthen 2 weeks later I walked out without glasses for the first time since I was 12.
There are no words that can truly describe the feelings and emotions that you feel upon being able to see clearly without glasses.
For anyone thinking about Lasik eye surgery and your slightly apprehensive, let me be the first to put your mind at ease....There wasn't any pain, just a little irritation like a hair (eyelash) was under my contact lens. So let me be the first to say.

Having worn glasses since I was 7 and hard contacts since I was 16; to be able to wake up the morning after the procedure with 20/20 vision and no pain or side effect is truly miraculous. My line of work requires much air travel and I now look forward to no discomfort from the dry cabin air. It's very difficult to explain the feeling I have regarding the results at my Lasik surgery. Its as though, literally, that I have a new on life. For many years I've been very dependent on corrective lenses. I've always enjoyed outdoor activities, but was somewhat limited in what I could do (especially water sports). Now when I go snorkeling, I can actually see the fist and appreciate the beauty of the ocean life.
The increased sense of security is also a positive result, whereby now I know that I can see during any emergency situation. I would, and have, highly recommended the procedure, as well as, Dr. Caster.

This procedure is such an incredibly easy experience, I cannot imagine anyone not wanting to do it. At the most it is seconds of very slight discomfort. In minutes you have sight. The next day you're running around as if nothing happened except you're not wearing glasses or contacts.
I think I'll start collecting sunglasses.
