When my dog put his paws on my bed this morning to wake me up, I looked over to see his beautiful brown eyes. Though this seemed like an average morning for him, it was a brilliant day for me. The gift of sight is one of the most important aspects of life, and I'm so thankful to be able to live my life to the fullest. Yesterday, I couldn't see anything without my glasses, today I see 20/15 without!!! I was extremely nervous going into the surgery, but the staff here made me feel at ease, and it was over with before I knew it. Words cannot express how it is to be free from glasses and contact lenses. Everything is so clear and I'm thankful to Dr. Caster and everyone here for giving me my sight back after wearing glasses for 20 years. It was the best thing I could have ever done for myself, and I'm glad that I had the best doctor for it. If you are sitting in the office looking at this in a binder contemplating Lasik, do it. I was so nervous on the day of the procedure. The staff was great with me and kept me calm and glued together. The procedure was so fast that it was over almost before I had a chance to be scared. I went home, took a nap and basically slept the rest of the evening. The most amazing part was waking up the next morning and being able to see everything! I can't believe I waited so long to do this. I would tell everyone I know to do this- it's liberating.

As with any invasive vision procedure, I was a bit apprehensive about having Lasik surgery. However, 2 days post-op, I'm extremely pleased with the results, with my apprehensions being alleviated. Statistically, Lasik has a very low rate of complications, but they cease to become low when they happen to you. After taking extensive measurements and thorough eye examinations, Dr. Caster was aware of my concerns. He reviewed my case, and assured me that he wouldn't even recommend my having the procedure if he didn't think I was an ideal candidate able to undergo the procedure free of complications. Dr. Caster, Dr. Hoff, and the rest of the staff have proven to be extremely competent. Having undergone the procedure themselves, they were all so understanding to the needs of their patients. The procedure itself was quick, recovery time minimal, and results exemplary. I feel as if I'm seeing with contacts, only they're not there. All factors taken into account, I'm pleased I made the choice to trust Dr. Caster and his associates, and I would recommend anyone considering the Lasik procedure to consider the Caster Eye Center without reservation.

Remarkable what modern technology can accomplish. One day post-op and I'm seeing 20/25. Initially, I was terrified to have the surgery (even after numerous friends had explained that there was no pain involved), but in retrospect, it was a breeze. I can't believe that I can see so well. The procedure was painless, uncomfortable when the flap is made, but that's it. My eyes were watering last night and sensitive to light. I took a nap from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and the tearing and light sensitivity was gone. My vision is not perfect, but almost perfect and I expect it will be perfect after a recovery period. Thank you to all the doctors and scientists who made this procedure possible and available.

Having worn contacts/glasses for 30 years, I had resigned myself to the fact that that would be my lifestyle for the rest of my life. Then I discovered Dr. Caster! After meeting with him, reading his book and literature, I realized that seeing clearly (in my case after the procedure 20/20) without the aid of contacts or glasses could be a reality. Most people are very apprehensive about having anything done to their eyes, and I was no exception. Dr. Caster and his entire staff were so reassuring and understanding about that fear that I felt immediately relaxed and felt confident in my decision to have Lasik surgery. The surgical process and the recovery process were exactly as described-quick and painless. Words are inadequate to thank someone for the gift of perfect vision, but that's all I can say. I had Lasik surgery on both eyes yesterday. I had absolutely no postoperative discomfort. My vision improved from approximately 20/200 to 20/30 this morning of my next day follow up appointment. I am hoping for gradual improvement to 20/20, but this is the first time in 20 years that I could recognize someone before they were a few feet away, without my glasses or contacts. Dr. Caster- you are a g-d! A miracle man! I felt like I was blind since the fourth grade. Glasses, contacts- I hated them! The cases, the drops, having to have sunglasses with a prescription, glasses, goggles with prescription, etc., etc. It was the BIGGEST hassle of my entire life. Now, in a matter of hours, my whole life has changed- seriously, I feel a sense of freedom. I really worked!! You and your staff were the nicest staff I've ever had.
